We are looking for an energetic and hardworking Barback to join the team at MA/NA Mayfair, our Japanese-inspired restaurant and bar on Upper Grosvenor Street.


Working alongside our bartenders, the Barback plays a vital part in keeping the bar running smoothly throughout service. You will make sure the team has everything they need, from perfectly stocked fridges and glassware to fresh garnishes and a clean, organised working environment.


This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their career in premium hospitality and learn from an experienced bar team.


As our Barback, you will:

  • Support the bartenders throughout busy services
  • Keep the bar fully stocked with glassware, beverages, ice and garnishes
  • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and organisation
  • Assist with opening and closing duties
  • Receive and correctly store bar deliveries
  • Work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Help create the polished, high-energy experience our guests expect at MA/NA


What we are looking for:

You do not necessarily need extensive bar experience. For us, attitude is just as important. We are looking for a Barback who is reliable, enthusiastic and keen to learn.


You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, enjoy being part of a team and take pride in maintaining high standards. Previous experience as a Barback or within a premium restaurant or bar would be an advantage.


For the right person, this Barback position can be the first step towards developing into a bartender role within MA/NA and the wider Thesleff Group.
